New rules for foreign firms readied
"REVISED GUIDELINES that will ease the determination of obligations
and investment requirements for foreign firms operating in the
Philippines are being finalized by the Securities and Exchange
Commission (SEC).
"The planned changes to a 1982 directive, contained in draft circular
released yesterday, include provisions on allowable deductions from
gross income, a modified formula for foreign airlines, and new
penalties."
