This is a good development: direct private sector involvement in the anti-corruption drive and reforms in the judicial sector, the administration of justice, and the legal profession. "The Judicial Reforms Advocacy Initiative is part of the greater Integrity Initiative, the private sector movement for good governance launched last year."

Interesting that the ambition to "cleanse" the administration of justice system would even extend to law firms and law schools.

Integrity in the legal profession is a perennial challenge everywhere, in any country and jurisdiction. It is not only an institutional question but also a moral one. Every lawyer should be asking himself or herself: the question "where do I draw the line between being the devil's advocate and being the evil advocate?" It's the flipside to the bottom-line challenge for businesses [the PPP in today's CSR]: "where do 'profit' considerations end and considerations for 'people' and/or 'planet' begin?
