House, Senate inclined to review economic provisions of Constitution
The foreign Chambers of Commerce in the country have been campaigning for amendments to the Philippine constitution which has several provisions to limit the participation of foreigners in economic activities.
For easy reference, these constitutional limitations and prohibitions are detailed in the "Negative List" of foreign investments, regularly published by the Board of Investments/Malacanang. The Negative List last issued is the 8th, dated 5 Feb 2010.
