This follows from the same (misleading) thread of "political risk analysis" by the the same reporter which we noted in an earlier blog entry. For some strange reason, I cannot understand why the indubitable reference made is to "political risks", rather than "political uncertainties". Businesses factor in "risks" in their stragegies, and then they adapt accordingly. "Uncertainties", on the other hand, are a given which businesses - or anybody else- will have to live with (such as disruption caused by climate change-induced disasters) .

I say the potential 'political risk' to watch in the PH is government cancellation of investment contracts that are suspected of being tainted by corruption. This is a risk which has to be taken by certain businesses, aided by government functionaries, who would prefer less than transparent modes of business dealing.
