New rules for foreign firms readied

"REVISED GUIDELINES that will ease the determination of obligations and investment requirements for foreign firms operating in the Philippines are being finalized by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

"The planned changes to a 1982 directive, contained in draft circular released yesterday, include provisions on allowable deductions from gross income, a modified formula for foreign airlines, and new penalties."
